Hey guys. It’s super dark here this morning, so I can’t take any pictures for you. Boo. I was so excited to show you our new kitchen table too. Wah wah. I love it, by the way. I am seriously loving the kitchen in general, even though it still needs A LOT of work – I pretty much need to reorganize every single thing we store in here. I moved all of the large cooking things – like the crock pot and the pressure cooker and stuff like that – under the bench yesterday, which cleared up a ton of space in the pantry.
Oh yeah, there IS something I can show you …
Hahahaha. Yeeeah. I made the kitchen bench out of Home Depot buckets. And I’m not sorry for it either. It’s surprisingly sturdy and the perfect height. And the whole thing is meant to be temporary anyway. Apartment-living, yo. Anyway, I wanted this project to be as close to zero dollars as possible, and those buckets were less than $3 each. I just screwed them into the boards and added the foam and fabric on top. And there’s no reason for anyone to suspect I used buckets, unless I show them, because it’s so super weird. P.S. the handles don’t stick out like that – this was just a practice run before I got to work. Anyway, it saved me a lot of money and a lot of time, so I win. Way to go, buckets!
Some day I’ll bring my camera home and take nice pictures of all of this stuff, I promise.

Genius!
