I just realized that I never really told you about the Spring ’12 gowns! I mean, I told you about them, but not in any detail really. And, you know, they’ve only been out for like two months, so no big deal. What? Dudes, I need help. No really, I need help! Anyway, let’s begin, shall we?
This is the Hyacinth gown. By the way, I really wish I could play elevator music while we’re doing this. Like in old movies.
Hyacinth features an incredible bodice made of Italian trim that intersects throughout to create a lovely graphic pattern, hugging your body at every curve. And it truly does hug, because it’s made of ELASTIC. Who puts elastic on a wedding gown? I DO. And it is seriously cool. The elastic itself is also striped, which adds so much to the delicate layering. Not only does it keep everything cinched in and create a gorgeous, smooth line, it also moves with you. You know I try on all of my gowns and test them for prance-ability and this one has definitely GOT IT. The straps don’t move an inch and the whole thing feels like a big hug. The skirt is made of the softest, lightest silk voile and feels like the most delicate cotton. At the waist is a thin belt of silk charmeuse with the slightest bow at center back and ties that trail the full length of the skirt. As always, the inside is lined in silk and trimmed with laces and bows for a gown as beautiful on the inside as the outside.
A number of women have tried on this gown and every one of them marvels at how gorgeous and comfortable they feel while wearing it. I do not exaggerate. If you’d like to come in and try on the gown yourself, please contact me to set up an appointment! And be sure to check out the entire Spring 2012 collection – this elastic makes more than one appearance!
