I’m up kinda early today and the sun is shining and so I’m actually going to work on a new tutorial newsletter. I KNOW. I mean, whatever, you guys know I’m busy and I’m doing my best. I hate to fail at something, but I’ve failed at the newsletters. Wah wah. And each day more and more of you lovely people sign up so I don’t want to cancel it outright. You guys. So I’m going to put that together and hope it goes out by Friday.
In the meantime, there are some very exciting things happening here this week. Lots of custom client meetings . . . AND . . . our sofa is being delivered tomorrow! AAH! I saw some pictures of it yesterday, without cushions and covered in plastic, and even in that state it looked incredible. And in addition to that, I bought a few awesome things for the apartment over the weekend. Like this new console table:
It’s in our dining room and I really like it. I’m going to style the top differently, but even like this it is a definite improvement over the giant rattan shelving unit that lived there before. It’s a brand new CB2 table I found on Craigslist for $80, which is a pretty good deal. I would have died for faux bamboo in brass, but I’m not a millionaire. And this little guy holds our records, freeing up that space in our entertainment cabinet and hiding the nasty baseboard that I had forgotten was so nasty when I bought an open console table. And yes, I know my drapes are uneven – I’m fixing them. So anyway, that’s pretty cool but now you have to see these:
LOOK AT THESE LAMPS. They are my pride and joy. I thrifted them over the weekend for ten dollars. TEN DOLLARS. And they are gigantic and amazing. These lamps make me feel like some sort of interior designer and not just someone who is never satisfied with their space. I love them. I have no idea what to do with them, but they will live with me forever.
Closing thoughts: I wish I had more time to spend on the apartment. I can’t wait to see my sofa tomorrow. My belly kinda hurts at the moment. I have to go fix those drapes. LAMPS.
