Lisa’s Gown: Progress

I’ve been behind sewing machines so much lately that I’ve started to miss some good, old-fashioned hand-sewing.  NOT the kind that rips my fingers and nails apart – I’m getting plenty of that as well – but happy, dainty sewing – like stitching together tiny chiffon flowers and lace.  Fortunately for me, I was able to squeeze in a little work on Lisa’s gown (and much-needed television time!) over the weekend.  Here’s how it’s looking:

Can you believe this is the same gown?  It looks so super feminine and sweet – so completely different from before.  And her mother’s lace complements it so well – in person, it’s a perfect color match.  But more than all of that, it suits Lisa so well – it looks exactly like the entire thing was made just for her.

I have a little stitching left to do on the bodice and then I’ll make a comb with the same chiffon flowers for her hair.  So pretty!  The wedding is next month, so hopefully we won’t have to wait too long for pictures.  The entire wedding sounds like an absolute DREAM!

  1. This is so pretty and dainty. I love the delicate little flowers over the shoulder.
