Pierrot Sweater Jacket or A Woman Possessed

After talking about this sweater jacket all day yesterday, I am now completely obsessed with actually getting to wear the damn thing when the weather changes.   I worked like a crazy woman last night and finished the back piece.

Note I no longer have a pretty blank wall for pictures – argh.  I just realized that issue this morning.  I need a workspace before I need a photography space, but this is sort of a drag.  Anyway, there’s the back of my sweater – woo hoo!  And I worked on the bus this morning and have about five inches done on one of the front pieces as well.  Oh snap.  Oh and if you didn’t catch my update to yesterday’s post, I said I was working in the seed stitch, but this is actually a garter stitch.  I’m a dumbass.  I have no idea how my brain fritzed on that one, but I don’t care, ’cause I still really like it in the garter stitch, and I am obviously not redoing it.

Pretty.  Isn’t that yarn awesome?  It’s Lion Brand Wool-Ease Thick & Quick in Grey Marble – I love it and it will go with everything.  If I ever finish it.  Which I will.  Because I am in a crazed knitting state.

  • Just an idea, if you really love the seed stitching, maybe consider working it back into the sweater as an accent. You could work the sleeves in seed st with a garter cuff. Or keep the collar in seed st (I would do this simply because changing a collar is tricky and obnoxious and I hate to rewrite collars…). Or both! Can’t wait to see the finished sweater, it’s working up so quickly!
