Oh my, I have been so tired lately – zzzzzz . . . I’m guessing my allergies are kicking in or something. I dunno. I feel brain-dead most of the time, but I must have a pretty reliable auto-pilot, because the menus I made last night are AWESOME. Check it:
I don’t think I could love them more, honestly. They are so perfect. The menu is printed onto colored copy paper, cut into a 3.25″ circle, and taped to a 6″ paper doily. The doily and menu are then taped to a 6.5″ card stock circle. I have to say, I would probably avoid a project like this at all costs if it weren’t for my super handy die-cutting machine. I highly recommend getting one if you plan to do major diy-ing for your wedding. I found mine on sale for $130 and it has paid for itself many times over. Plus, it’s just cool. Seriously.
Um CUTE! Oh and those are our actual wedding plates. We bought hundreds of dinner plates, dessert plates and coffee mugs from a boys’ camp, all for $100 on Craigslist. And the background? I found enough matching rolls of vintage wallpaper on Ebay to use as table runners. I may never want to leave the dinner table . . .

I love your table setting! What a great deal getting the plates from craigslist. I have a bunch of wallpaper I bought at Restore- I am still trying to decide what to do with it.
You! Who are you?? What is this brilliance of wedding DIY?? Did you not just see my doily post? This post kicks that post’s ass! Excuse me, but I have to go read the hell out of your blog for the next couple of hours.
Louise
LOUISE! I totally LOVE your blog. I mean, true love. I did see your doily post and I’ve actually had my eye on the MS doily seating cards. Aren’t those incredible?? Thanks for all of your sweet comments!
Can you tell me how you are using the wallpaper as a tablerunner? I am hosting a shower for my nephew and his future bride and would like to do that
Juliana,
I plan to steam it flat with a steamer and then just lay it down the center of each table – over our white tablecloths. I know some people use wrapping paper and butcher paper too. Hope that helps!

I seriously love this idea and I am using it to inspire my wedding tables. Can you please tell me where you purchased your doilies as they are delicate and gorgeous. I live in Australia. Thanks!
Hi Jane! I bought them from Dick Blick – I’m not sure if they ship internationally, but here’s a link: http://www.dickblick.com/products/hygloss-paper-doilies/#photos
I used 6″ round doilies. Good luck!
Thankyou so much for the link. Can you please clarify is the 6″ the width of the whole doily or just the centre block part (ie where you have included your menu). Thanks
6″ is the full size of the doily
OMG! Lurrrrrrrrve it! Hope you don’t mind me using this for some table inspiration!
Hi, if you don’t mind, may I ask how you were able to print the menu on those 3.25″ die cut circles? (I’m not crafty at all!) Thank you!
Hi Rika!
I printed the menu onto a sheet of paper first and then ran it through the cutting machine.
Thanks!
Veronica
